Our research focuses on the development of new techniques to interface and control both solid-state and atomic excitations at the quantum level. Using cavity optomechanical and circuit QED techniques, we develop new strategies to utilize long-lived phonons as a quantum resource. Â Through complementary activities, we also develop scalable new cavity and waveguide technologies that permit efficient interfacing and control of atoms and defect centers for sensing and quantum networking applications.
