Gina is a Fulbright Fellow who joins us from the laboratory of Federico Roda at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá. She is currently a PhD student investigating the genomic and metabolomics of acylsugar production in relationship to trichome diversity in Solanum. Gina is also collaborating with Stacey on a comparative transcriptomic study of the inflated calyx syndrome in Physalis and related genera.
