- The June 19 holiday, Juneteenth, is a time to recognize and celebrate the freedom and self-determination of African Americans and the end of the Civil War. It also provides an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the nation's collective history. For some, this may mean attending an event, listening to a podcast, reading, or having conversations with classmates, colleagues, family and friends.
- Come join your Boulder Campus Staff Council and other members of the community for a free ice cream bar. Stop by the Staff Council tent, where there will be more giveaways and prizes and visit with other campus departments dedicated to serving employees.
- Connect with CU Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano, Athletic Director Rick George and faculty. Learn about the local impact of climate change on Colorado communities, joining alumni, parents, donors and community members at these free gatherings.
- Council members will update the campus community about its work during the 2021–22 academic year, answer questions, and invite students, staff and faculty to join a discussion on the university’s next steps for promoting diversity, equity and inclusion across the campus.
- The celebratory event signals the official launch of CU Boulder’s third-generation high-performance computing infrastructure, which is provisioned and available to campus researchers immediately.
- For the first time in three years, CU Boulder will have an in-person commencement ceremony, conferring more than 9,000 degrees and featuring CU Boulder alumnus and award-winning journalist Tom Costello.
- Relax, take a break and re-energize yourself from a hectic finals week with free food at Breakfast for Dinner, one of CU Boulder's favorite traditions. Stop by the UMC from 4 to 7 p.m. on May 2.
- On hiatus for the last two years, this popular annual event is a richly varied showcase of projects by graduate and undergraduate engineering students studying creative technology and design.
- A signature event for the campus community and beyond that culminates at CU Boulder's Folsom Field, the BolderBoulder race will return this Memorial Day after a two-year absence. Register and plan to attend this fun event for all.
