This may be the program for you if you want to start a business, are interested in leadership, or interested in a technical discipline like sustainability, supply chains, operations, analytics, strategy or talent management.

The Management & Entrepreneurship area of emphasis students specialize in one of six tracks: Information Analytics, Leadership, Operations Management, Social Responsibility & Sustainability, Strategy & Entrepreneurship, and Talent Management.

Career opportunities

Graduates of this program have gone into work in consulting, HR, product management, auditing, sustainability operations, supply-chain operations, software development and more. The highly customizable nature of this area of emphasis helps graduates stand out as they seek early-career opportunities.

If you鈥檙e a founder, Leeds and the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship have the resources to help you pursue that passion. But entrepreneurship is not starting a business. It鈥檚 a way of looking at the world鈥攁n ability to see creative solutions to problems, to connect with people to understand their pain points, to build on the fly while shaping innovations in ways that benefit people and society. It鈥檚 a talent you can use as a founder or in the Fortune 500.

In this program, you learn that entrepreneurial approach to business and apply it in solving problems unique to your career interests. This ensures you graduate able to work effectively in team settings, navigate complex organizations and advocate for your innovative ideas鈥攁nd your value as a professional. To help you further define your professional ambitions, you complete a specialized track that gives you deeper industry exposure, preparing you to work in the field of your choice. Management and Entrepreneurship Tracks

Students graduating from theInformation Management and Analytics Track are exposed to a wide range of tools, methods, and techniques for addressing issues such as the selection and implementation of new technologies.

Think like a leader with a foundation built in leadership theory to translate those skills and competencies in a practical business environment.

Develop processes and identify levels of productivity, quality, flexibility, timeliness, and technology within organizations to help them prevail in their markets.

The Social Responsibility and Sustainability Track focuses on values-based practices at the of organizations.

Identify and create value, make fast-moving decisions in rapidly-changing environments, and construct business models applicable from startups all the way to large corporations.

Students learn to deliver organizational excellence through a focus on its most important business asset including the hiring, training, rewarding and retaining of valuable employees.
